Welcome to the Department of Management
The Department of Management is an internationally oriented center for management research. Our Department has a long and successful history. Our current areas of research include corporate governance, sustainability, diversity management, and other aspects of employment relations. Our research approaches the study of socially relevant issues through the lens of organizational theory and institutional theory, while utilizing both qualitative and quantitative research designs. Members of the Department publish regularly in globally recognized journals (including the Academy of Management Review, Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Leadership Quarterly, Organization Science, Organization Studies, and Strategic Management Journal).
Our teaching in the BSc Business Administration and MSc Management and Marketing programs engage with business practice in a theoretically grounded and evidence-based fashion that draws upon current research. We support young researchers through our participation in PhD training through the Doctoral Program in Business Research.
During the semester, we regularly organize a lecture series „Forschungswerkstatt“.
