Decentralized Evaluations of lecturers and their courses
Since 2001, the School of Business & Economics has evaluated its teaching staff and the courses offered each semester. The basis for this is the Berlin Higher Education Act (BerlHG) and the decentralized evaluation guidelines.
All teachers receive an individual report on the results, which is ideally discussed with the students during the same course in the current semester.
Since the summer semester 2020, evaluations have taken place digitally due to the pandemic and have lower response rates compared to the previous paper-based evaluations.
Since 2014, new lecturers at the School have been compulsorily evaluated using the Teaching Competence Questionnaire (LeKo) provided by the Teaching and Study Quality Office. This evaluation questionnaire, which is used throughout the university, serves to record didactic competence and is designed to reflect in detail on one's own teaching practice and to identify potential for development.
All lectuers receive an individual results report, which is ideally discussed with the students during the same course in the current semester.
