Mentors from the world of science are an important success factor for research-based spin-offs.

However, not only the start-ups, but also the researchers often benefit from the collaboration in the long term.

In the current issue of campus.leben, the magazine reports on the collaboration between Prof Dr Martin Gersch and Mio Health.

Martin Gersch, who also co-founded the  Digital Entrepreneurship Hub at Freie Universität Berlin, accompanied the project as a scientific mentor for several years. Mio Health has thus taken the ideal path to founding a company, he says. The expert in entrepreneurship and digital transformation in the healthcare sector was able to support the start-up by providing feedback on ideas and draft proposals as well as arranging contacts.
