Workspace for students (formerly Eikon)
Brief information:
Workspace for students (formerly Eikon) is a service mainly for financial experts with information on commodities, equities, fixed-income securities and hedge funds, on the foreign exchange & money market and on wealth management. Various services are available via the Eikon platform, in particular the Datastream database and the Worldscope database. The database contains tools for navigating news including videos of live and on-demand equity news broadcasts. It provides key market data, charts, time series analysis and streaming news from Reuters and other financial institutions and market research firms for price analysis and global indices of individual stocks. The database may only be used by the members of Freie Universität Berlin for scholarly purposes. Workspace for students offers access to the following data(bases):

- Worldwide price data
- LSEG Lipper fund data
- LSEG Company Fundamentals
- Commodity Data
- Real-time data
- LSEG I/B/E/S Estimates
- ESG data

Access information:
To use Workspace for students an individual account is necessary. In order to apply for an individual account, you need a valid FU account and have to accept the 'terms of use' of Workspace for students.
The following Workspace account types are available:
- Test account (duration: 1 week)
- Monthly account (duration: 1 month)
- 3-month account (duration: 3 months)
Please use the online form to apply for an individual Workspace for students account. An account extension can be applied for informally via e-mail. It can take up to 3 working days to set up or extend an account.
Access
Workspace for students is available to all members of Freie Universität Berlin via web access, desktop version incl. Excel add-in (see system requirements) and mobile app (for iOS and Android).
