Research Seminar: Organization
Im Sommersemester 2021 wird das Modul Forschungsseminar Organisation parallel an der Professur für Organisation und an der Professur für Personalpolitik angeboten. Wir bitten Studierende ausdrücklich sich NICHT parallel für beide im Sommer 2021 angebotene Forschungsseminare Organisation zu bewerben. Bitte bewerben Sie sich nur für ihre erste Präferenz. Falls wir Studierende in diesem Modul keinen Platz anbieten können, informieren wir Sie über noch freie Plätze im anderen Forschungsseminar.Course Contents
This research seminar provides an introduction to research in management and organizational behavior. Throughout the course, we will discuss different quantitative and qualitative methods applied in management research as well as fundamental theories of this field of research. To illustrate how these different theories and methods are applied in management research we will talk about and discuss selected manuscripts (mandatory to read), which have been published in top management journals. Moreover, you will develop a research project proposal.
Format
This will be a virtual seminar. The course will take place on Thursdays 10 am ct – 2 pm. The course starts on April 15th. Participation is mandatory.
Application:
The seminar is restricted to 18 participants and requires a prior application.

Examination:
The examination for this seminar will consist of a seminar paper of 10-15 pages together with a group presentation and discussion.
Language of the seminar will be English. The group presentation will be done in English. The seminar papers can be written in either English or German.
