Monday, June 17th: FU Berlin

10.00 am – 10.30 am: Welcome by Prof. Marcus and his team at FU Berlin

14.00 pm - 14.30 pm Plenary talk by Dr. Mario Arrieta-Prieto: Operational research and statistical modeling for decision making in the context of supply chain management.

14.30 pm - 16.00 pm Presentations by the undergraduate group in statistics:

  1. Analysis of criminality in Colombia: Identification of patterns and trends in the frequency of victims.
  2. Comparison of models for classification of gray-scale bidimensional images: Functional data and Bayesian convolutional neural networks.
  3. Gender barriers in access to undergraduate programs in STEM at UNAL: From enrolment until graduation.
  4. An adaptation of Chatterjee’s association coefficient and Azadkia- Chatterjee’s conditional dependence coefficient for time series analysis.
