The three day event was organized by the Postdocs-to-Innovators Network of which Freie Universität Berlin is a members since 2018. More than 30 participants worked on business ideas that focus on sustainability. Ranging from therapeutics over digital platforms to new materials from crop waste, the program has seen a variety of ideas from across all disciplines.
Given the complexity of transdisciplinary communication, we had wonderful mentors from research, start-ups and industry. The program finished with short pitches in front of highly renowned private venture capital, corporate venture capital, and business angel investors, as well as experts on public grants for start-ups in Europe.
The Digital Entrepreneurship Hub (DEH) is responsible for entrepreneurship education and entrepreneurship research at Freie Universität Berlin. Three members represented the DEH in Cambridge, professors Sundermeier and Rothe as well as Alisa Fluhrer.
