Opening speech for ELIXIR Bioinformatics Suppliers Forum in London
"How biodata infrastructures enable digital entrepreneurs"
In his opening speech, professor Hannes Rothe shared some of the findings of his latest studies as he unravels the relationship between biodata infrastructures and entrepreneurial activities. The conference was held on May 7th, 2019, at the Wellcome Collection in London.

The ELIXIR Bioinformatics Suppliers Forum (EBSF) was a one day event for suppliers of bioinformatics services, solutions and resources. Large corporations such as Microsoft, ATOS, and Illumina shared insights into their latest strategy and operations. In addition, numerous SMEs and young ventures presented the diversity of market activities in the field of bio data and bio informatics. In addition, suppliers learned about ELIXIR services with a focus on compute, bioinformatics tools, and AI, and exchange technical information relating to their products through scientific presentations or demonstrations.
