Georg Schreyögg has been professor for Organization and Leadership at the Management Department at the Freie Universität Berlin since 1994. Previously, he was professor for business at the University of Bamberg and FernUniversität Hagen. He has been awarded Doctor Honoris Causa by the University of Graz. His publication list contains over 220 scholarly articles and books on management, organization theory, corporate governance, and strategic management. He has served as a member of the editorial board of several international journals. From 2004 to 2008, Prof. Schreyögg was a member of the compartment council of business and economics at the German National Science Foundation (DFG). He was a former Vice Chairman of the European Group of Organizational Studies (EGOS), and from 2005 to 2006 Chairman of the Federation of Professors of Business (VHB). From 2005 until 2014 he was spokesman of the DFG postgraduate program: Path dependence in organizational processes. His main research focus is on organizational capabilities, organizational path dependence and uncertainty management.
