The aim of the project is to minimise the unpunctuality in rail transport resulting from systematic deviations of actual from planned travel times by adjusting planned arrival and departure times using evolutionary or nature-analogue methods. The existing connections and frequencies are to be largely retained. This simultaneous consideration of connection dependencies and clock intervals creates network effects that make the decision problem a complex task. The potential of such a procedure is being researched, in particular, to provide reliable information for real planning tasks and to form a basis for more punctual plans.
